The Journals

After Ball Horticultural celebrated one hundred years in business, Anna Ball took the opportunity to reflect. She realized that the roots of the current culture went back to the company's founding and to the traits and actions of her grandfather George J. Ball, whose journals provided critical insight and documentation. THE JOURNALS reproduced the contents of her grandfather's and father's personal journals dating back to 1898 in a one-color 642-page hardcover book. Each journal was meticulously transcribed and annotated to provide context for the reader. THE JOURNALS also includes images of newspaper clippings and other items that were either inserted or pasted in the original diaries. (The book was produced by The Coventry Group with Kim Coventry serving as project manager and client contact.)
